Nostalgia for flash game within another flash game
This brings me back to the original Madness Interactive Game and the Thing-Thing series. I had a ton of fun playing this. As much as I loved the survival sort of gameplay this game has, I would've preferred a straight forward level based sidescrolling shoot 'em up. But still, it's a fun game. I don't like the upgrade system only because I genuinely hate having to level up in games. But this one was pretty simple and doesn't really take anything from the game for me. My biggest complaint is the lag. I have a pretty alright PC, and runs alot of games at max frame rate. That is real video games, not flash. But the lag in this game was awful, it didn't really slow down too much, and slowdowns i can deal with as long as they're not major, but the controls would become over 10 seconds delayed. Considering this is a damned flash game that's pretty fucked. I also didn't really like the music choice here. I mean I loved every song, but it didn't really feel like Madness. I know, I know; this is Newgrounds, this is a Tom Fulp game, and this is Tom Fulp's kind of music, but this could've used some of the songs from the Madness series. The part where you fight Tricky could've used Tricky's theme. Hell, the Madness Interactive theme could've made an appearance, but I digress. Those are all nitpicks, except the lag, this really is a great game
